23. Hurricane Helene, as it happened live in Savannah, Georgia

Yeshe was still in Savanna, Georgia, when the devastating category 4 Hurricane Helene struck the US on the 26th of September. What started as Yeshe recording how incrediblethe rain was, early in the day, became a live take on his first experience of a hurricane. Which got a bit scary as the warning sirens started wailing into the night.

Sadly, there was widespread damage and power outages around where we were, and so much more damage was to come, right into the mountains of North Carolina. Thehurricane travelled 100 miles inland before even being downgraded to a tropical storm.
